Specialising in thermoplastic extrusion, Geplast designs and manufactures profiles for the construction industry in particular. As a designer-extruder, Geplast leverages its expertise across a broad range of brands, including Geplast Building, which brings together all its products for closures and joinery, Geplast Outdoor, which brings together our products for exterior landscaping (gates and fences), and Geplast Engineering, which provides customised solutions for the production of tailor-made technical profiles.
For more than 20 years, Geplast has enjoyed a remarkable growth. Founded by Gérard Grimault in 2003, the small company has carved out a place for itself as a key player in the extrusion industry. High-performance, responsive, but also concerned about its environmental impact, it has always drawn its DNA from innovation!
Extrusion of PVC profiles has been the company’s spearhead since it was founded. This expertise, based on the company’s 100% French know-how, has been enhanced by the extrusion of ABS materials and, a few years later, Loryza®, an innovative bio-sourced material made mainly from rice husks.
The company’s history began with 4 employees and just 5 extrusion lines installed in a 1,000m² building in the historic Mauges region, in Saint-André-de-la-Marche (49). In 2007, growing demand led the company to expand its premises and build a new 3,700m² building. Geplast now has 29 employees and 9 extrusion lines. Numerous other expansion phases have followed in recent years, the latest of which was inaugurated in July 2022. Geplast now has 18,000 m² of covered floor space, for a total surface area of 25,000 m², 30 extrusion lines and no fewer than 125 employees, with a turnover of €35 million for 2022.

- On 1 April 2022, the family business takes a new turn and comes under the management of the founder’s 3 children, who have already been present in the company for several years in key positions. In addition to their current roles, Etienne Grimault is now Chairman of the company, working closely with Angéline Denis and Maxime Grimault as Managing Directors.

- On 1 September 2022, Geplast announces the acquisition of FMI conception & injection tailor-made, based in Bellevigny (85). This merger is part of Geplast’s drive to integrate new skills in the field of polymer processing. This complete mastery of the design, development and production of injected parts and extruded profiles will enable Geplast to meet specific customer requirements and diversify its offering by entering new business sectors.
